📸 Throwback to a proud moment on the East Coast

East Coast stud breeder Colin Williams made history at the Gisborne Show by winning the Kahurau Cup for champion interbreed beef yearling — for the fifth year in a row.
The trophy was presented by former Opposition agriculture spokesman Ian McLean, pictured here with Colin and the winning yearling in the background.

A remarkable achievement — and his legacy of breeding excellence still carries on today.

We purchased him with Kaharau at the 2024 Tangihau sale for 135 k. He was the top price bull sold in NZ for his year.
If you’re looking for moderate framed, deep bodied and super sound cattle then he is your man. He comes armed with a very handy data set with a good EMA, positive fats and over twice the breed average for IMF . Not to mention his MCW at 67 means moderate , functional daughters. He also comes with plenty of CE and moderate birth making him suitable for heifer mating as well. A genuine all rounder!
His first crop of calves are a chip off the old block with very positive feedback here in NZ and Australia.

These girls are sired by Taimate Roy, Rangatira Charles 1034, Meadowslea Mountain Man, Shian Sherson, Kaharau Lionheart, Kaharau Prince and others. Ongoing success from our Donor programme has resulted in 18 of these heifers being from ET genetics.

A huge thank you to Nick Carr for getting this mob up to speed for AI, after an extremely challenging winter and a cold dry spring.
