Grown in Gisborne and freeze-dried at peak ripeness, our yuzu powder is made from the whole fruit — skin, pulp and seeds — capturing the full aromatic intensity of this unique citrus.

Freeze-drying preserves natural oils, acidity and flavour WITHOUT additives.

Yes! A yuzu is like a lemon

Yes! Our soda is currently available online and in selected retailers

No! Our soda does not have caffeine in it

Yes! Our yuzu is grown in Gisborne

No! Our soda does not have alcohol in it

Yes! Our yuzu and fingerlime powders are 100% pure freeze-dried fruit

No! There isn't much juice in yuzu, unlike lemons

Yes! There is 10% real juice in every can

Probably! There is Vitamin C in our soda. We haven't officially had it tested so we can't make these claims ourselves but fresh yuzu has been said to have 3 times the amount of vit c than lemons

Elliot and Masa knew they wanted to grow something unique, and wanted to contribute to the horticulture sector in Gisborne.

Elliot also wanted an excuse to buy a tractor.

Without the capital for a high value crop, or lots of land, but a desire to try something different, Masa suggested yuzu ("you-zoo") - a rare, aromatic citrus fruit almost unknown in NZ.

He said it was important to them that people who bought their products experienced the true yuzu flavour. And now 8 years later, their award-winning Yuzu Juice Soda is proving to be a sell-out success.

What does yuzu taste like?

We're finalists!

We are pretty excited to share that our Yuzu Juice Soda has been named a finalist in the 2026 New Zealand Food Awards!!

And yes - this is a different competition to the Outstanding NZ Food Producer Awards, where our soda won Gold earlier this year.

Two national food awards, one little can of Gisborne-grown yuzu soda. We're pretty stoked. Wish us luck!
