Elliot and Masa started with just 10 trees - then one died, hence the name Nine Trees. Today, they're excited to be planting an extra 600 yuzu trees at their Makauri orchard (with little help from family and friends!)

Dreaming about the long weekend already? It's going to be a scorcher here on the coast and we cannot wait! While we are planting more yuzu trees, you can be reclining sipping a delicious ice cold beverage with a finger lime twist! Here's how:

Simply mix our freeze-dried finger lime powder with sugar, rim your glass with lemon or lime and dip into the mixture. Leave to set for a minute before adding your cocktail. Easy!

We did it!!

Our Yuzu Juice Soda won the gold medal at the 2026 New Zealand Food Awards! AND our Freeze-dried Finger Lime Powder also won a gold medal, with the yuzu powder coming in with silver. We could not be more excited!

It was an incredible night and an honor to be amongst New Zealands leading food and beverage producers.

We are also thrilled to be on the front page of the Gisborne Herald this morning.

Tomorrow night is the 2026 New Zealand Food Awards and we are excited! All three of our products are finalists which is an achievement in itself!

Excellent video footage aside, they're very excited to have all three of their products as finalists in this year's NZ Food Awards. In a couple of weeks they'll be up in Auckland seeing how they do at the award ceremony- wish them luck!

Not much left...

We're down to the last of Batch Two of our Yuzu Juice Soda - and it's disappearing faster than we expected!

We'll be making one more batch in time for Christmas, but it'll be a small one. After that, we wait for the next yuzu harvest.

That's the reality of making soda with real fruit from our own orchard - when the yuzu is gone, it's gone.

A huge thanks to everyone who has supported our little soda. We genuinely did not expect this kind of response!

Unloading the last of Batch Two!

Our Yuzu Juice Soda is running low. We'll be making one more batch in time for Christmas, and once that's gone...that's it until next harvest.

We're incredibly grateful to everyone who has bought a can, shared it with friends, stocked it, or simply told someone about us. The support for our little Gisborne-grown soda has been amazing!

Real fruit means real seasons - we can only make it when we have the yuzu. More trees are being planted!
