Quick garden check in - what is coming out of yours at the moment?

Did a cruise through the glasshouse over the weekend and manage to haul out last of the peppers, spring onions as well as some kale starting to come in. So great to still have fresh vegetables here while we’re here into winter!

What a sweet trip down memory lane..

One of my most treasured possessions is my late mother‘s recipe book. This weekend I made her chocolate fudge slice with a base of crushed wine biscuits in fudgy chocolatey goodness. It’s a no bake, one pot recipe which has been a huge hit in this house.

Gotcha! The Houdini chicken has been nabbed and she isn’t happy about it! Hear her roar!

Escaping the chicken run, sleeping in trees and destroying gardens (and I strongly suspect laying in the bush) days have come to an end for this girl.

Managed to trap her in the coop, catch her and clip a wing. She is now installed in the chick pen for a bit to confirm she is actually laying (all signs are she has started) and then I might consider repatriation 🤣 Might!
