A little look back at some of the very first cake pops I created for Divine Pops by CK Divine.

It's been such a beautiful journey of experimenting, learning and refining my creations, and along the way I've received some truly lovely feedback.

It's what's on the inside that counts, too!

Behind every Divine Pop is a little experimenting, learning and refining.

While working on my latest flavours, Double Chocolate and Vanilla Chocolate Chunks, I've been focusing not only on their appearance, but also on their texture.

I wanted to create something soft and rich, with a beautiful balance of cake and chocolate. Not too dense, not too gooey, and certainly not dry. Just yummy.

And after a few adjustments along the way, I'm really happy with how these latest batches turned out.

Double Chocolate – Rich, chocolatey and beautifully soft.

Vanilla Chocolate Chunks – Soft vanilla cake with delicious pieces of chocolate throughout.

There's so much more to creating cake pops than what you see on the outside, and I'm enjoying every part of the process.

A little look at what I've been creating this week, its been a busy one, but I very much enjoyed it.

I've been experimenting with a new flavour and bringing to life some more of my sketches.

From sketchbook to cake pop ❤️

Before I pick up the chocolate, a lot of my designs begin here — with a pen, a page and a lot of little sketches.

I play with lines, shapes and movement until something starts to feel right, then I work out how to bring that idea to life in chocolate.

Some sketches never make it past the page. Some change completely along the way. And some become the little details you see in the finished Divine Collections.

I love looking back at the original ideas beside the finished pops and seeing how they evolved.

The Love Collection was originally going to have five designs. But somewhere in the creative process, five became four.

I experimented with different techniques and ideas, and some simply didn’t turn out the way I imagined they would. And rather than forcing a design just because it was part of the original plan, I let it go.

I think I’m learning that creating is just as much about knowing what to leave out as it is knowing what to add.

It doesn’t always look the way you imagined it would.

Sometimes you have to listen, soften, let go of the plan… and allow it to become what it was meant to be.
