Our Guest Speaker at The Southern Pinot Workshop 2027 will be David Croix of Domaine des CROIX

If you don’t know David - David Croix is at the head of the Domaine des Croix, located in the heart of Beaune. He perfected his winemaking skills with Benjamin Leroux of the Domaine du Comte Armand in Pommard, He went through the viti-oeno diploma in Tours, before leaving for Burgundy where he graduated from the Master of Oenology in Dijon in 2001

• Location: Beaune, Côtes de Beaune, Burgundy
• Size: 6.37 ha (15.74 ac)
• Varieties: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay
• Viticulture: Sustainable, organic methods
• Vinification: Partial whole cluster depending on the vintage, ambient yeast fermentation, aged in barrels (up to 40% new), no fining, no filtration.

🍇The 2027 Southern Pinot Noir Workshop is an annual technical workshop that brings together winegrowers from New Zealand and the rest of the world for an in-depth look at the variety Pinot Noir.

🎉🎉BUT DID YOU KNOW HOW COST EFFECTIVE THIS CONFERENCE IS ! 🎉🎉Registration is only $450 and the entire conference is subsidised (Thanks to our amazing Sponsors) with the entire conference approximately costing an additional $750.00- $800.00 NZD– that means all accommodation, food, & costs totalled at $1200 for a 2.5 day conference – THAT’S A VERY CHEAP CONFERENCE BY INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS.

This event highlights the strength, relationships, and camaraderie within the New Zealand wine community, particularly amongst Pinot Noir producers. Together, we are far stronger than we are individually. This is a truly momentous occasion — a celebration of the lives of Mike and James, the remarkable history of this extraordinary bottle, and the friendships and stories that surround it.

The SPNW2026 is over for another year and we are so grateful for everyone that attended, especially our internationals from Portland, Oregon and the UK.
