Spring in New Zealand has a way of changing everything, brighter skies, longer days and fresh colour returning to the landscape. A new season, and plenty to look forward to.

Passionfruit, citrus and crisp herbal notes give Cellar Selection Sauvignon Blanc its fresh, vibrant character. Pair with seafood, seasonal greens or something light from the grill.

A generous spread, a bottle of our Private Bin Pinot Noir and nowhere else to be. Sometimes the best plans are the ones that stay around the table.

Spring brings the promise of new growth, but it can also bring cold, frosty mornings. When frost is forecast, sprinklers coat the tender buds with water. As the water freezes, it releases a small amount of heat, helping protect the new growth from the colder air around it.

It may look frozen, but this careful work helps safeguard the vines and the future vintage taking shape within them. ❄️

Did you know every vintage begins with something this small? 🌱

Spring has arrived in New Zealand and the vineyards are beginning to wake. Budburst marks the first visible sign of the new growing season, as tiny green shoots emerge along the vines and begin their journey towards the next harvest.

It’s a small but significant moment, and the beginning of another season of Villa Maria w**e.

11/09/2026

Our Private Bin Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc brings together ripe citrus and tropical fruit flavours with fresh herbal notes and a crisp, juicy finish. Pair it with salty olives, creamy cheese and herb focaccia for a simple grazing plate that lets every flavour shine.

Save this for your next afternoon in. 🫒
