Super proud of the teams today. Not only did they take away the honors in both Volley Ball plate and cup, but also the tug of war all while raising funds for Breast Cancer as well. A big thank you to Taylor Corp for allowing us to enter and make the day entertaining and allowing our boys to take a clean sweep win, guess we have to come back next year and have some more fun.
Farmlands team was there cooking up a storm to keep all the teams feed, the coward was awesome, and the refs where all fair thoughout the day. Congratulations team Matipou 1 and 2, you did us all very proud.

Matipou Orchard is hiring apple pickers for the 2026 season.
📅 Feb–May 2026
📍 Hastings
⏰ Mon–Fri 7am - 3.30pm + some Saturdays
⏰ Hourly and contract rates.

Outdoor, physical work. No experience needed – just reliability and a good attitude. Must be able to work in NZ.

🍎 Fruit Packhouse Jobs – Hastings | Matipou Orchard Ltd 🍎
We’re looking for reliable, hardworking people to join our team for the 2026 season.

✔️ Indoor, hands-on work
✔️ Fast-paced team environment
✔️ Standing work, handling trays of fruit
📅 Mid-February – late May / early June 2026
⏰ Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm | Saturdays when required
💰 $23.50 per hour + 8% holiday pay

All roles available,

Specialised roles include:
1x Forklift operator
1x QC experience preferred, or willing to learn with strong attention to detail
1x Packhouse and staffroom Cleaner

👉 Must be able to commit to the full season
👉 Work visa holders: Must be able to work in NZ and be available to work the whole season.
