We’ve been waiting all winter for this. 🙌

Pool’s out, sun’s (mostly) out, and the Margarita Sour Mix is back on the bench where it belongs. It’s NZ lime juice, water, a little sugar and a little acid, so the only thing left to do is add the good stuff.

The ratio 🍋‍🟩
1 to 2 parts Margarita Sour Mix
2 parts tequila
1 part triple sec or Cointreau

Shake well, pour over ice, find a sunny spot.

It also stands in for tonic if gin or vodka is more your thing. Top with soda and call it done.

Now stocked at Flatties 🥳

After watching the Hawke's Bay U16 boys, including our son, play their first game of the Division 2 National Water Polo Championship this morning, Matt and I headed to Flatties for lunch – one of our newest local stockists and conveniently close to the pool! We were hungry!! 

Flatties has been brewing inside Kaweka Hospital since September, serving Hawthorne coffee, Origin Earth milk and seriously good eats. We can personally recommend the focaccia sandwiches and Snickers snack bar. 🥪

Owner Prasanna already stocks our cans at The Farmhouse and had been meaning to order for Flatties too. Our neighbour Steve Toynton, an ENT specialist and one of the driving forces behind Kaweka Hospital, gave him a timely nudge. Hawke's Bay really is a small world! 🤝

Kaweka has a huge team of specialists, nurses, technicians and support staff coming through its doors, and Flatties welcomes the general public too. All those wonderful hardworking humans can now grab a St Andrews Limes Passionade or Turbo Tonic Sparkling can for their daily rehydration and wellness. 

We love supporting local businesses that support us, so lunch at Flatties was simply an easy choice – fresh food, our drinks in the fridge and the chance to take a few pics while we were there.

We popped into TU MEKE DON in Hastings last week to grab sushi lunch for the crew - a very cool place to find our St Andrews Limes cans chilling in the fridge! 🙌
 
Tim & Junko are absolute gems - super people making seriously good Japanese food right here in Hastings. There is something awesome in the air when we see one local Hawke’s Bay business backing another.

Great lunch, great people, and a St Andrews Limes soda to wash it down well. Tu meke indeed!

What a brilliant night celebrating creativity in our own backyard 📸

We were delighted to support the opening night of FOTOFEST Hawke’s Bay Photography Festival at the Hastings Community Arts Centre last night, with St Andrews Limes sodas keeping everyone refreshed – following in the footsteps of Six Barrel Soda - We Make Wonderful Drinks cans at last year’s event.

This year’s special guest exhibitor Murray Cammick who opened the exhibition is a legend in New Zealand music and photography. Co-founder of RipItUp magazine, his camera documented an incredible era – from Bob Marley, Iggy Pop, Dolly Parton and Debbie Harry to the musicians, venues and audiences shaping New Zealand’s own music scene. Still quaintly old school: his exhibition features traditional black-and-white Gelatin silver prints.

FotoFest is an event we love supporting as it brings people together, celebrates photography and creativity, and adds a buzz to our city.

It takes commitment from behind the scenes to have events like this happening right here in Hastings – created by passionate locals and supported by a community that shows up.

Congratulations to everyone behind FotoFest. A fantastic opening night and a very cool celebration of our creative community.
