Decibel, Testify, and Giunta W**es are w**emaker's, Daniel Brennan, vision to create w**es using classic practices, minimal intervention, and w**es with a community based attitude. These are ideas as old as w**e itself and he believe strongly in them. However he look to the future as well. He has now had the privilege to work with some of these growers for years and can support their efforts to convert to organics. And as the lineup grows it is with great care to continue to find organic producers to work with. He looks at a time when we use smart practices in the vineyard and the w**ery that not only inspire but preserve our great planet.

Dan is in Philly with his brothers Jamie and Ryan from McCrossen’s Tavern, getting into his early autumn pick: Giunta Pinot Noir.
Not too big, not too heavy, but with enough grunt for those early autumn BBQs. And as the evenings get cooler and the food gets a little heartier, Giunta is more than happy to rise to the occasion.

The Great W**e Capitals International Conference is bringing delegates from celebrated w**e regions around the world right here to Hawke’s Bay this month. Such an achievement for our region, and we are thrilled to be a part of the action.

For those unfamiliar with the Great W**e Capitals, it’s a global network connecting just 11 of the world’s great w**e capitals, from Bordeaux and Napa Valley to Porto, Adelaide and Hawke’s Bay.

It’s a pretty cool reminder that Hawke’s Bay is part of a much bigger global w**e community!

We’ll be welcoming some of the visiting delegates to our Decibel Central Tasting Room in Hastings during the conference, and we’re looking forward to sharing a little of what makes our region, our w**es and our w**e community so special 🍷

This Saturday night, Decibel heads south to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, joining the good people at for an evening built around food, w**e and the simple pleasure of a table well laden!

Chef Nate has put together five courses to sit alongside five Decibel w**es, travelling from Hawke’s Bay and Martinborough all the way to the Delaware coast. Giunta Albariño, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Malbec and Chenin Blanc, each with their own place in the story.

Dan will be there too, bringing the w**es, the stories and a little Hawke’s Bay spirit along for the ride!

There are still a two spots so we suggest you get in fast if you’re in the area 😎

WE MADE SALT WITH W**E..

…Well, not exactly we, and not exactly “from” w**e.

Our friends at Apostle have taken organic Hawke’s Bay Pinot Noir from Decibel and used it to make this Red W**e & Plum Herb Salt!

W**e-soaked Himalayan rock salt, Black Doris plum, sumac, rosemary, thyme, dill, juniper and a few other good things.

Apparently it belongs on everything from roast potatoes and steak to tomato on toast and dark chocolate. We’re not going to argue, especially if you serve it with your favourite drop from Decibel!

You can get yours from their website, or it’s available for you to snap up at our Tasting room Decibel Central in Hastings.

DANNY'S IS BACK THIS SATURDAY 11th! Dan (the Philadelphian), Chef Ben, and the Decibel team will be slinging the Philly classics: cheesesteaks, pork & greens, Italian hoagies and vege/vegan/gf options too of course.

We're excited to complement the food and our w**es with a new non-alc offering - say a big hello to Six Barrel Soda Co. who will be fillings the drinks fridge with their fab locally made sodas!

Family friendly, great tunes playing, tables ready to be scribbled on, and delicious high-quality affordable food and drinks. See you Saturday from midday!
