It was a rough day today!! An hr into the day a medium size stick found a gap in the armor and managed to snap a T fitting in the main hydraulic line and knock out the power steering, and the rest of the days work. Due to the leak I had no option but to repair it on-site . And believe it or not but the broken part costs over $200 (plus gst) X Melbourne!!
Some days don't go to plan!!! I am however glad that I've spent many hundreds ( realistically thousands) of dollars on tools over the last few years as it makes this kind of thing possible and way cheaper than calling out the mobile mechanic!!!
So....if anyone tells you you dont need all those tools!!! Don't believe them 😅

Feijoas! Love them or not ( Im in the not team) they still need pruning and mulching! Easy wood to mulch but sometimes the tree spacings makes for a tricky day!! You might notice the fuel cap?! The original one was undone and ripped off by the low branches and I assumed went through the mulcher. The short term fix did the job surprisingly . Hard to be unhappy when you're working with views like that though 👌

Remember when I posted that I had an issue with running over irrigation pipe hidden in long grass on a job! Well this, although its far from the worst ive had ,is still enough to stall the mulcher and try to burn out the belts! Not fun and sucks time from your day trying to cut it out! Still, it could be worse ! 😆

This was almost fun! Helping to tidy up an orchard that was pulled out a little while ago and i had to mulch over the old w**d strips where apple tree suckers had re grown and on the outside rows i assume suckers from the shelter had grown . Some had trunks as big as 10cm thick ! I got most of it done but had to leave the end of the last few rows because there was still irrigation lines running down the rows under all the grass and suckers and it kept getting caught around the mulcher drum!! But that's a picture for another day !!
