The cellar might be a little quieter now, but there's still important work to be done.

With the 2026 reds safely tucked away in barrel, the boys took the opportunity to taste through the vintage and see how the wines are shaping up. Early days yet, but there's plenty to be excited about.

After months of harvest, ferments, pressing, and late nights, it's nice to pause and raise a glass to another vintage in the books.

Now we let the barrels do their thing.

A little winter sunshine is all the excuse we need for a picnic. ☀️

The vines may be sleeping, but the views certainly aren't. Grab a blanket, choose your favourite goodies from our picnic fridge, pick a spot in the sunshine, and enjoy a slower pace amongst the vineyard.

Winter picnics might just be our favourite kind.

Pruning season is well underway at Askerne, and Derek is here to explain what it's all about!

While the vineyard may be resting through winter, there's plenty happening behind the scenes. Pruning is one of the most important tasks of the year, helping to set the foundation for the season ahead by managing vine growth, crop levels, and fruit quality.

It takes skill, experience, and a keen eye, and our team are hard at work making every cut count. Take a listen as Derek talks through the process and Somdeth demonstrates the art of pruning in action.

The rows may look a little bare for now, but this is where the next vintage begins.
