Hello everyone new and old here! As we slowly sneak away from the cozy fire inside and start waking up into the gardening season here in Central Otago, I thought I would (re) introduce myself!

I’m Caitlin, and I am the owner/operator of Wild Things Wanaka. We are a small market garden in Wanaka NZ with a focus on sustainability and providing quality, naturally grown foods to our community.

Sustainability to me is about creating systems that replenish themselves. We’re not perfect, but every year our systems get tighter and more efficient. We consume more locally, waste less, and try to plan for seasonal abundance. Every small effort counts.

Please follow along on my journey this summer, as we enter our 5th season of growing. Laugh along with me as I hit peak over overwhelm at times, and learn along with me through my continuous trial and error 😂

Currently curled by the fire ordering seeds, researching garden layout and day dreaming about warmer sunnier days!

We will be taking some family time away for the next week-

The shop will continue to be stocked while we are away, but we might be a bit slow to respond to any questions. Time for a bit of rest, recovery and reconnection after this busy season X

This summer. This family of mine. Words cannot describe how grateful I am to get to enjoy this life we have built, this food we can grow for our community, and these children we get to watch flourish in the world.
As I reflect on this summer, I am proud of the growth and learning that has taken place on the farm, on all the memories made. Thank you for all your constant support! It means so much to us X
