Racking the Blueberry W**e (2nd Rack)
Second racking done today. Moved it off a fresh layer of sediment into a clean carboy — much less this time round, which is a good sign it's settling down and clarifying nicely.
Colour's still a deep, rich purple. Taste is smoothing out compared to the first rack — sharper edges softening, the fruit coming through more now.
Back into the dark again. One more rack, maybe, before it's ready to bottle. Thanks Pukenui Blue for your delicious blueberries 🫐 🫐 🫐 🫐 🫐 🫐 🫐 🫐 🫐

Galangal loves it up here in the subtropical north. Give it a warm sheltered spot, rich moist soil, and a bit of shade, and it'll take off. Great for anyone wanting to grow for their Thai/SE Asian cooking. And their pretty flowers smell divine!

Single divisions (1–2 shoots) — $8 each

Another stunning morning of fishing. Didn't get much sleep last night as I stayed awake to see the Blood Moon (wow, amazing seeing the moon so red!) but was well worth getting up early this morning to be greeted by that sunrise
