Tersana Farm Wiltshire Sheep Home of Taranaki's largest Wiltshire sheep flock. Been farming Wiltshire for 15 years and over that There is no shearing, crutching or fly treatment involved.

Our motto is work smarter not harder... This is where the self shedding wiltshire sheep come in. At Tersana farms we aim to breed a clean shedding, easy care sheep that is well muscled and has a high fertility. We farm rolling to steep hill country and still manage to dock 155 to 160 % ewes to ram. ( 2th + mix age )
Our Rams are selected from twin bearing ewes and must be 100% shed at weaning wit

h considerable emphisis on thickness, muscelling and structure . All replacement ewe lambs must be 100% shed by weaning and be structurally correct, grown no more than 15-20mm of cover before shedding and go to the ram as a hoggett. Over the years these hoggets have scanned around 115%

Over the years we first concentrated on 100% shedding and now we are going even further. Our sheep now grow increasingly more short hair than wool .

Hi everyone, I finally got some more pics of the 2th rams. Born and bred on Tarata hill country.
There are still some for sale. All scanned twins or triplets. The flock always scans above 180 % ( 2th + mix age )
Fairley good FE tolerant( never used any zinc treatments and don'thave any problems). Have used some Arvidson genetics.
