Excited is an understatement, see you soon Dunedin Winter Solstice !
Have you been to Dunedin Winter Solstice for a night of revelry under the stars yet?
If not, here's the low down. This is a night time, mid-winter outdoor event in the deep south..
We need to expect and prepare for the cold.
To make sure you are ready for this adventure, please bring the following:
β A water bottle. (No glass)
β Rain proof clothing and shelter. Extra changes of dry clothes in waterproof storage.
β Warm clothing - it WILL be cold and may be WET. Bring thermals, woollen socks, woollen hat, gloves and decent outdoor footwear.
β Bedding, and more bedding. I.e., an insulating mattress, warm sleeping bags, and woollen blankets. Bring a hot water bottle and fill it up at the kitchen! If you need to warm up, you can visit the Canopy or Safe Zone which are heated, enclosed spaces.
β A good camp tent or vehicle is recommended, choose a safe spot where youβre protected from the weather.
β A torch
β Money for the food trucks.
Look out for your mates or anyone else who needs care, remember help is always available at the Safe Zone!
How will Solstice keep you warm? An epic bonfire, a string of fire barrels, and diesel heaters placed at our music zones.
Fill your bags with all your best winter warmies, blankets, beanies and wizard capes so you can focus on having a great timeπ€
Should you need help, a rest, some spare clothing, water, some warmth or anything at all you can ask at the Safe Zone. πππ
