Autumn 🍂 is the perfect time to get some outdoor mushroom growing projects started.

Golden wine cap, Stropharia rugosoannulata var. lutea is a fast growing delicious species to add to your food forest. It loves to eat non-coniferous woodchips, and is very easy to grow in your garden.

Stropharia rugosoannulata has the ability to draw nutrients up from deep in the soil, increasing bioavailability for your plants of said nutrients. At the same time it offers a tasty and nutritious mushroom for eating.

If you’re like me and geek out on this stuff, you may find this link an interesting read - long story short, if you love to eat mushrooms here’s why you need to grow these: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10455845/
