Exciting news — not just for me, but for you all too! ❤️

After almost 19 incredible years, I’m about to start a new chapter in my life. I’ve sold the butchery😬😃While it’s a very emotional time, I’m also very excited about what the future holds🌞

The new owners, Rachel and Gerrard Pile, will officially take over on the 1st of September, and I’m so pleased to finally be able to share this news with you all.

It’s hard to put into words just how much this place, and more importantly, all of you, have meant to me over the years.

When we first started this journey in 2008, my partner, Ian Kennedy, had a dream -to provide good, honest food at a reasonable price, made as naturally as possible. Sadly, as many of you know, we lost Ian in 2019, but his dream never ended.

Determined to keep building what we had started together, it was because of my incredible staff, past and present, who have stood beside me over the years, that we were able to make that dream a reality.

Their hard work, loyalty, dedication and care have been such a huge part of what made this butchery what it is today.

I’m especially grateful that Malcolm Maker will be continuing as the greatest butcher ever, at Matanaka Meats, and that the wonderful Megan will be staying on as well. Knowing that these familiar faces will continue to be part of the business means so much to me😊

And, most importantly, there’s all of you — the incredible people who have walked through the orange door, bought your meat,dropped off meat , had a chat, shared a laugh, recommended us to family and friends, and kept coming back,🤗🙏.

I’ve watched families grow, shared countless stories, laughs and tears, and made many friendships that I will treasure forever.

Your loyalty, massive support and kindness have meant more to me than you’ll ever know.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️

Rachel and Gerrard are excited to continue what we started and what we do ,while also growing and expanding the retail side of the business. I’m genuinely excited to see where they take it.

I know you will all welcome Rachel and Gerrard and give them the same wonderful support, loyalty and encouragement that you have given me. I feel so blessed and incredibly grateful to you all.

I truly believe they have a great future ahead of them, and I’m excited to watch the business continue to grow.

The staff will remain the same, and the phone number will remain the same 0210578319📞😃👍So there will still be plenty of familiar faces and an easy way to get in touch.

Although it’s incredibly hard to say goodbye to something that has been such a huge part of my life, I’m ready to take this next step and see what this new chapter brings.
