Katikati Farmers Market Update
I recently shared via email some honest thoughts about the future of our involvement in the Katikati Farmers Market. At that time, I mentioned that unless we saw an improvement in the market’s performance, it might no longer be viable for us to continue attending. Unfortunately, we’ve now reached that point.
For the past four weeks, we’ve been operating below our expense line—losing money each time we attended. After much reflection, we’ve made the difficult decision to step away from the Katikati Farmers Market. It’s been a wonderful run, and while it’s sad to bring this chapter to a close, we know it’s the right move for our business.
That said, we’re not disappearing.
To continue serving our loyal customers, we will be running a Quick Fire Sale every Friday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at our Factory on Marshall Road. We've done this successfully before when the market shut, and we’re confident it will be a good way to stay connected with those who have supported us over the years.
I’ll be informing the Market officially on Friday. In the meantime, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone—customers, fellow marketers, and friends—who’ve been part of this 13-year journey. Selling to you has been an absolute pleasure.
