This grader blade was rotten, so bad the blade ended up falling off. Rather than cutting out and doing a full rebuild I just welded a thick plate to the good steel and drilled holes for the blade to bolt back onto, this saves dollars while still having strength.
The farmer complained about how annoying it was to balance it on 20 litre containers so I made a stand to hold up the hitch. Also tightened up the main nut as there was a lot of movement, and welded up some cracks.
in total this took just over a couple hours, so cheaper than buying another second hand one which could have issues.
I always encourage farmers to fix gear instead of replacing wherever possible, because something like this was only worth scrap, but fixed and functional even though it's not pretty could be sold to help offset cost if he ever decides to upgrade
