Such a great night!

The Kerikeri Golf Club is set to host the 2026 New Zealand Maori Golf Nationals Tournament from January 11th to 16th, with nearly 400 players competing across three courses. Conveniently situated in Kerikeri, the club offers an 18-hole Championship Golf Course with a par 73 layout, measuring 6122 meters. The course boasts stunning tree-lined fairways, picturesque surroundings, and a unique Signature Drop Hole, attracting golf enthusiasts from Te Tai Tokerau, The Bay of Islands, the Mighty Far North, and worldwide.
The tournament's return to the far north after 20 years holds significant importance for both the golfing community and Te Tai Tokerau as a whole.
I was afforded the opportunity to collaborate with Northland Fine Food and the Bay of Islands Golf Club in curating a music catalog that transported our visitors, Nga Hau E Wha, four corners of Aotearoa back to yesteryears coming forward to some of Aotearoa favourite sounds of today in the hopes the Tournament's potential return would not take another 20yrs.
The Kerikeri Golf Club provided beautiful vacillates and had a real family feeling, atmosphere about it, plenty of room, space for such an incredible golfing event.

Northland Fine Foods cooked a meal that would make any Marae proud, mouthwatering Hangi with fresh fish and chips along with other lovely dishes.

It was really something seeing and hearing everyone singing, joking, laughing, meeting one another for the first time, reconnecting, building new connections and just having a great time.

While many struggled with the heat here in Kerikeri, one has stood above the rest. Impressive opening round of -4 from our 2025 Strokeplay champion. He is in the driver's seat heading into our second round.

Some solid rounds from George Witana, and Ivan Adams. Plenty to play for to make the top 16 bracket for Wednesday!
