Palliser Wine For over 30 years, Palliser has connected people through our crafted Martinborough wines that speak of site, season and soul.

We focus on Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays, still and sparkling, organic and on their way to being organic. The weathered and wild Cape Palliser (or Mātakitaki-a-Kupe). The southernmost point of the North Island, on the remote Wairarapa coast of New Zealand. It’s where the Ruamahanga River, the life source of our vineyard land meets the sea, and from where our weather patterns unfurl. From Kupe to Cook, Palliser Bay has long been revered by explorers and pioneers in seeking out a new world. Our name reflects the bold courage and pioneering spirit of those explorers; the connection between people, and the land, river and sea of our Martinborough home; and the wild weather that challenges us to craft wines and experiences of exceptional quality.

Event season is here: the perfect excuse to gather your people and enjoy some Palliser.

We've got a fantastic line-up of events over the next few weeks, from collaborative dinners to city tastings and celebrations of great w**e and food.

This Saturday: our postponed Bellbird X Palliser Collab Dinner brings together chefs Chetan Pangam and Norka Mella Muñoz for a five-course menu, thoughtfully paired with Palliser w**es. Tickets are limited, get yours before they're gone.

Held at the Palliser Cellar Door & Kitchen in Martinborough, the Bellbird X Palliser collab dinner is a a delicious collaboration between chefs Chetan Pangam (Bellbird, Beef & Lamb NZ Ambassador) and Norka Mella Muñoz (Palliser, Ōra King Salmon Ambassador).

Good news, dogs of Martinborough: your vineyard adventures are back on.

Good news, humans: you get to come too.

From this weekend, our Palliser Woolshed Vineyard reopens. A few important reminders for pups and their humans:

• Pick up your dog’s poo. Every time. No exceptions. Our vineyard team are very keen to spend their days growing grapes, not collecting surprises left behind by someone else’s dog.

• Please stick to the published opening hours: Weekdays: before 7am and after 5pm
Weekends: 6am-8pm

• Access is via the Weld Street gate only.

• If the walk is marked CLOSED, it is closed. Sometimes we’ll be operating machinery or undertaking vineyard work, and that’s for everyone’s safety. Closer to harvest, when the nets go on, we’ll likely need to close to walkers briefly to avoid net damage.

• If people ignore the opening hours, enter when it’s closed, or don’t pick up after their dogs, we’ll simply have to close the walk again. Boo!

Most people are brilliant. Please don’t be the one person who ruins a good thing for everyone else.

Now go enjoy a sniff, a stroll, a vineyard view, and maybe even a post-walk glass of w**e at our dog-friendly cellar door!
