Graham Margrain is turning 80 today! He spent the morning mowing around the vineyard, a quick birthday smoko with the team, then he's working in the Cellar Door. What a legend!

The broad bean flowers are looking beautiful at the moment in the Kitchen Garden.

We grow these as a winter cover crop, in the garden beds that grew heirloom tomatoes the summer prior. The broad beans are ‘nitrogen givers’, giving back to the soil after the heavy feeding tomatoes. As a bonus the beans suppress weeds, improve the soil structure, and attract bees in spring. And of course, provide a load of fresh broad beans to eat at the end of all that. Win-win!

The mighty frost fan.

We've had a few chilly mornings lately, and these wind machines are integral in keeping our new shoots safe from frosts. They pull the warmer air down to mix with the colder air surrounding the vines.

Shout-out to the vineyard team, keeping an eye on the vines in those freezing early hours. 👏 🥶 🙌

Last weekend for Cellar Dwellers this weekend! Come and see Kate and try some w**e that has been cellared for you.

Taste older vintages from our Cellar, alongside current releases. Limited release vertical triple packs available for purchase and instore specials of rare Cellar finds.

Every September, Saturdays and Sundays 11am to 3.30pm. No booking required, maximum four people to a group.

🥂 End of year functions are coming in thick and fast, so get in soon to book your preferred date. Groups of 10 to 40 people can book our shared Platter and Pizza lunch menu, for $32 per person. We also have 19 rooms on-site, if you were wanting to take the team to stay in Martinborough overnight.

Looking back at some of the beautiful fruit and veg we grew in our Kitchen Garden over the last summer. These make their way to the Kitchen, then on to your platter as delicious pickles or jellies, or fresh in your salads.

Holy moly, would you look at that! Here comes the time of year when vineyards everywhere want to show you their budburst! That’s because they’re our babies, and we’re proud of them 🥰

These beauties are our Mendoza Chardonnay vines on our Home Block, which we planted ourselves in 1992. And now they're beginning their journey to vintage 2027, that's some hardworking vines right there.
