Special day on Friday hosting the US Undersecretary of Agriculture, Luke Lindberg, and US Ambassador to NZ, Jared Novelly, and the other members of the US trade delegation. It really was an honour to be able to showcase NZ sheep, beef and deer farming and celebrate the many connections and strong trading relationship between NZ and the US.

A huge thanks to Australia Hereford Youth for welcoming our NZ Youth each year to their National Youth Expo. Its a fabulous opportunity and our daughter Jessica really enjoyed competing in her first ever event like this. Thank you Tim & Jemma Reid, Olivia and team and all the generous studs who provided animals for our youth to work with.

Our Team and our Why.....
We don't often post pictures of our children, but it's important to recognize and appreciate everything they do for our family business and the passion we share for the livestock and the land. They are the 4th generation at Te Taumata.
Jessica (left) is in high school and is out on the farm at every opportunity working alongside us.
Ella (middle) is shepherding in Pehiri, Gisborne, growing her livestock, pasture and farm managent skills.
Kayla (right) is an engineering apprentice and her talent is well-utilised and appreciated here repairing and welding farm equipment, cattle yards etc. Can't wait to see the new farm signs Kayla and Alistair are making.
Robert, the youngest, is a typical farm kid with a passion for motorbikes.

Wow what a day! A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on Wednesday for our 47th Annual Bull Sale. We had a full clearance with a top price of $26k twice for Lot 1 (stud) and Lot 2 (commercial) and an average of $13.5k.

We are grateful for our friends and family who helped out on the day, our kids, local agents and the wider PGG Wrightson Genetics team. It takes a team to pull sale day off successfully and we really appreciate you all.

Thank you to all purchasers and underbidders. Whether it was your first Te Taumata bull or you have supported us for many years, we appreciate you all and look forward to feedback on the impact they have in your programme.

We can't wait to show you next year's crop of sale bulls!
