The perfect recovery after a storm is for friends to get together.
Visit Lavender Magic’s Flower farm and enjoy the amazing 100 plus varieties of Dahlias – simply a gold coin donation entry fee!!
On this occasion other stallholder friends are having a wee get together and you are invited.
Come enjoy a coffee or pot of tea with delightful eats such as cakes, slices and cupcakes. Stock up on fresh spray free fruit including Blackboy peaches , tomatoes, and other seasonal produce. Fresh flowers, specialty vinegars, great pizza bases, lavender products, knitting, chutney, hand crafted jewelry, candles, handmade bags, garden runners and Indoor plants, plenty available to find the perfect gift for friends and family. Not to mention photography sessions – and what a place to do family photos…..
Chill out and enjoy the live music from Stefan. A great artist well known and appreciated in the Wairarapa.
Pop Up Market open 10am till 2pm, Flower Farm open till 5pm.
Bookings are not essential and you can pay at the gate. Just a gold coin donation.

Lavender Magic is a scenic drive, about 60 minutes from Upper Hutt and 75 minutes from Palmerston North.

Cut flower bouquets are available or can be ordered in advance to surprise someone special.

How to get there:
Drive past the pizza place to get to Lavender Magic - Pizza at the Water Mill Bakery is open (Friday Only 5pm-9pm). Other things to do in the Mt Holdsworth area - Fernado Oscar Calligo may have Choripan the Argentinian Food Cart open (Check socials for dets) Paul Melser Pottery (Weekends Only), Jackie Pearson's Fine Art Gallery (Check for details), Rivenrock Mountain Biking Park (Check for details) and DOC walks (24/7) as Holdsworth is the main entrance to the eastern side of the Tararua Forest Park.

Mt Holdsworth, Carterton, Wairarapa is a great place to visit.

The heat has arrived......and here come the plums!
First off will probably be the Stanley Plums, great fresh or cooked. I often freeze them for winter pies - followed by Black Dorris Plums known as the :"sweet and sour" plum.....
