Sometimes improving a farm’s effluent system isn’t about ripping everything out and starting again. It’s about identifying what isn’t working and tackling each challenge with the right solution. 🚜

That’s exactly what we’ve been doing on this local farm. From the underpass and solids management through to pumping, irrigation and pond stirring.

The result? A system that’s easier to operate, easier to maintain and makes much better use of the nutrients already available on farm. 🌱

Another Great Day in the BOP! ☀️🚜

The Reid & Harrison Services team kicked off another exciting project yesterday, making a great start on the first of two farms getting the full Yardmaster treatment!

The progress included preparing, boxing up and pouring the concrete foundations for a new progressive cavity pump and shore-mounted stirrer beside the new lined effluent pond.

We also took the opportunity to install the submersible stirrer frames in the new transfer sumps, installed by the Archway team, while they were still empty and easily accessible.

Next up: Installation of the progressive cavity pump and 9.9 m shore-mounted stirrer, followed by a 4 kW transfer pump and 3 kW submersible stirrer to complete the transfer system.

A great team effort and another step towards delivering a complete, reliable effluent management solution for our customers.

A failed submersible stirrer was leaving this 70,000-litre sump inadequately mixed, with material beginning to build up at one end.

💧 Our Services team stepped in with a new 3 kW submersible stirrer and lifting frame – along with a little help from our slurry tanker to get the installation done properly.

It’s a simple, tough setup designed to handle the water, effluent and debris that naturally collects in an underpass sump, and automatically get it where it needs to go.

Another underpass pump installation complete

Our Services team recently installed a Yardmaster RH5 effluent pump for this new farm underpass. 🚜

With a 4 kW motor, tough construction and the ability to deal with the rubbish and debris that naturally finds its way into an underpass sump, the RH5 was a great fit for the job.

What a great two days at the New Zealand Dairy Expo 🙌

A big thank you to everyone who came by the Yardmaster site. It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces, meet new ones, and talk through ideas, upgrades, and on-farm improvements.

From setting up the stand to showcasing the gear and chatting with farmers and contractors throughout the show, it was a strong event all round.

We really appreciate the ongoing support and the opportunity to be part of such a positive dairy community.
