Over the next few weeks we will be sharing a few successes of the amazing young men and woman that Beard Brothers have helped with fundraising through sausages Sizzles, Raffles etc. We at Beard Brothers are super super proud to support these amazing young people.. first up is Annabelle Pinker!!

In the recent 2026 nationals Annabelle and her team have obtained the following awards...

- 3rd Girls team in the Kilwell competition & 3rd New Zealand National Girls team

- Won the National School Clay Target competition.

- ⁠ Annabelle also achieved HOA (highest overall) New Zealand Nationals girls point score!

-2nd Girls New Zealand Nationals single barrel!

- ⁠ 1st NZ Nationals Junior single barrel New Zealand Nationals Girl.

Annabelle was then selected to represent the North Island girls, achieving 2nd Girls Overall Individual in New Zealand Nationals, North vs South competition, she was then selected to compete in the Hawke’s Bay regional Nationals Competition..and also achieved 1st New Zealand National Regional Girls team!! How good!! Congratulations Annabelle! top, top effort!! 🏆

What a day for it!! Rob’s Dad, Paul, is a massive supporter of Beard Brothers and has always been there for Rob through the good times and the tough times ... so when Paul asked Rob if he could do a BBQ Breakfast for Paul’s Saturday morning fellowship group, how could we not?
It was a great morning with Beard Brothers Pork n Cress snags, Beef snags and Farmland Foods Ltd bacon 🥓 hitting the grill, with a few eggs 🥚 for good measure...a match made in Heaven! 😇

Happy Sunday team! We've had a few folks reaching out asking about the salami making process that Rob does in his spare time at home, for his own larder!
The Salami Rob made this time around is called 'Finocchiona' Salami, an Italian fermented Salami originating from the countryside of Tuscany...word has it that back in the day a young fella pinched a Salami from a local market and hid it in a fennal bush...on returning to eat his stashed Salami it had taken in the fennal flavor of the very plant he hid it in!! They are tricky and timely to make but well well worth it! Rob has built his own curing room out of an old fridge and is humidity and temp controlled to give the salami the perfect environment to go through the fermentation process... don’t worry...the white mold you see is a Salami makers dream, it is the same mold which grows on cheese 🧀 and is extremely highly desirable!! The Salami are weighed every night and rotated until losing between 30 to 40% of original weight, between 2 to 6 weeks depending on Salami size and then it's 'Tempo per mangiare' 🇮🇹 ... 'time to eat!!!! How good do these look 🤤🤤🤤

Wow!! Massive Massive News!! Our Hunters Venison Boerewors has just been named as a finalist for the New Zealand Food Awards and how’s the timing...Rob was in Invercargill today catching up with our amazing Venison suppliers, ‘FareGame’🦌

Rob spent many, many hours perfecting this recipe, obsessing with the spices and the Venison to make sure they both compliment each other, so as you can imagine we are all SUPER PUMPED!! If you haven't tried out Hunters Venison Boerewors, head to your local PAK'nSAVE and selected New World Supermarkets...Robs advice for cooking? SUNDAY UPDATE!!!🌭🌭
Six days on the road in the Mighty South Island done n dusted, 1250ks travelled, 13 BBQ’s had, 2600 free Beard Brothers snags handed out and many tailgate yarns had with soooo many incredible folks getting right amongst the tailgate bbq vibe....and we aren't even half way yet!!!
Rob and the lads are on a snag cooking Marathon with 9 days straight to go and 17 more BBQs so sizzle!! A massive thanks to everyone that has hosted us, PAK'nSAVE Blenheim, New World Halswell, New World Fendalton, New World Lincoln, New World Durham Street, PAK'nSAVE Moorehouse, PAK'nSAVE Timaru, Bushbuck, New World, New World Oamaru and the crew are looking forward to the next big run of sizzles and meeting many more folks on there merry way...as the lads would say...SNAGTASTIC 😂😂

How Good A TAIL GATE BBQ!!
Rob and the Beard Brothers gave our new tailgate BBQ invention a bit of test run on Friday before they hit the road tomorrow and embark upon an epic BBQ journey, traveling across the Mighty South Island handing out a few thousand snags 🌭on their merry way!!
We will be visiting many towns and stores along the way in the mighty South Island over the next couple of weeks so if you see the lads, be sure to stop by, say Hi 👋 and of course grab a good old fashioned Beard Brothers snag!! A HUGE shout out goes to the team at Bushbuck NZ for hooking the boys up with their very own 'Beard Brothers Igloo' puffer jackets...gotta keep our North Island lads warm in the deep South...thanks team...LEGENDS!!!

Well, here’s a-bit of an insight! Rob and Max were recently down in the South Island on a game gathering mission to fill the freezers...what does Rob take with him? His Sausage making gear ⚙️ of-course! 😅 These snags are Wild Venison and Juniper Berries...how good!
