After being in the waiting room for two years and three months, we’re finally gonna be at the Hastings Farmer’s Market on a Sunday!

We have some logistics to work through and need to make a massive amount of stock and product, but we hope to be there for the first time on Sunday 2 March.

We’re also hoping to retain a presence at the Napier Urban Farmer’s Market at Clive Square on a Saturday, but we need to work through a few things to make that happen.

We reached a milestone with our eggs today, selling our 500th dozen. The girls have laid 6,479 eggs in that time, not counting the ones I still haven’t found around the orchard.

But, after much deliberation, we’ve made a call to finish up selling eggs through the shop. It’s been tough with the rising costs of feed, especiallly when the chooks are fighting the sparrows for it, and there are a couple of other projects and plans underway that we should be putting time into.

This will be our last week for eggs…but we’re still here for honey, flavoured honey, balms, candles and everything else honey and beeswax related.

Thanks to our customers, regular and one-off, that have been part of our egg-related journey.

Thanks to everyone that called in and supported us this morning…this was by far our best day in the two years we’ve been at the market.

A couple of cruise ships helped, but it was great to see a lot of locals out and about as well.

These awesome guys came to the shop and purchased a range of products to take back to the States as gifts, so now I need to find some time to learn about exporting.

And this is the reason we can’t keep the flavoured honey on the shelf…24 jars going to a new customer in Levin today, with another 24 to go out next week.

Finally! Our flavoured honey range is back in stock. Well, most of it.

Raspberry, chocolate, blackcurrant and lemon are all on the shelf.

Boysenberry, apple & cinnamon, blueberry and matcha will be available next week.

We’re also working on two new ones…lemon & ginger and passionfruit, which should hit the shelves very soon.

Made with nothing but honey and natural fruit.
