Okay Hawke’s Bay…..you need to put Hunger Monger back on your radar!

A longtime local spot, now with new owners, a new direction and definitely worth rediscovering.

I went in to check it out and ordered a selection of smaller plates — and honestly, I loved it. Beautiful food, loads of flavour, quality produce and the staff rock!

How good was it? I’ve been twice in two days 😂
And as I’m writing this,also genuinely contemplating going back for breakfast this morning… so I think that tells you everything you need to know.

Note- if you remember Hunger Monger as the seafood restaurant it once was, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the fresh new direction.

This weather calls for comfort food… and Lone Star Napier has it sorted!

Go on, be like me and enjoy a cheeky cocktail before tucking into some comforting, belly-warming meals.

Whatever you do, save room for dessert. Their Cowboy Crumble is the perfect winter warmer, think warm apple crumble, tart raspberries and creamy vanilla ice cream creating the ultimate balance of sweet, tangy, crumbly and comforting.
