From batch 001, finished in Pinot Noir barrels delivering an authentic and unique expression. Presented in amber & yellow hues the bouquet is smoky and rich, there’s a caramel raw brown sugar drive that leads to scents of apricots and baled apples, a cinnamon and nutmeg suggestion and quietly spoken earthy note, youthful and taut drive. On the palate - neat - there’s an intense rush of power from the alcohol, as this fades the flavours of stone fruits and caramel surge forward then flavours of baked tree fruit and spices layer in. Smooth and satin-cream mouthfeel and with each new sip the power and intensity of alcohol returns then back to fruit and spice. Delicious, new and uniquely Aotearoa. Best from any day and reason.
