Day Time Kitchen Hand Opportunity

The Station Cafe is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Daytime Kitchen Hand, available for an immediate start.

The Role

Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday.
Hours: Predominantly 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (approximate).

Key Responsibilities

Washing and efficiently putting away dishes.

Maintaining cleanliness, including sweeping and mopping kitchen floors.

Assisting with receiving, putting away, and organising stock.

Supporting food preparation, including making sandwiches and assisting with bread and other items.

Helping the chef and front-of-house team with food service.

Actively contributing to the efficient running and organisation of the kitchen.

What We're Looking For

Attitude: Able to work in a cooperative and flexible manner as part of a team.

Dependability: Reliable and punctual.

Development: A genuine willingness to learn, develop new skills, and contribute positively to the cafe's atmosphere.

Experience
Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential—we are happy to train the right person.

We are absolutely chuffed to be able to offer a selection of her works for sale at The station.

Each individual piece has a unique beauty as an object to admire, just to look would be a disservice to the utility that shapes the form and functionality.
Shona’s work is practical treasure, made to be useful everyday.
