Beekeepers’ New Year’s Resolution List 🐝
I reached out to several followers and asked what their New Year’s resolutions are when it comes to beekeeping… and let me tell you, the answers were spot on!
Here are some of the resolutions I heard!
In no particular order—because beekeepers don’t follow lists anyway.
🐝I will stop opening the hive just to check (…I probably won’t).
🐝I will remember where I put my hive tool.
🐝I will stop buying more bees after saying, “This is my last hive.”
🐝I will wear gloves before I get stung, not after.
🐝I will not blame the queen for everything (okay… maybe just a little).
🐝I will treat for varroa on time instead of “next weekend.”
🐝I will stop telling non-beekeepers bee stories when they clearly didn’t ask.
🐝I will accept that the bees know more than I ever will.
🐝I will take more photos of my family this year than my bees.
🐝I will remember that beekeeping is supposed to be fun—even on the hard days.
Happy New Year, hive mates!
Here’s to healthy hives, strong queens, and another year of being completely bee-obsessed.
