What a fantastic first week at Māpua Village Bakery & Café! We’re Lelum and Shani, locals proud to call this beautiful place home. While continuing to operate Taste of Sri Lanka in Nelson, Lelum brings 19 years of bakery experience here in New Zealand to ensure you enjoy the best quality and service. We’re excited to bring fresh, quality food and keep the bakery’s unique flavours alive.

We’ve loved meeting so many of you and look forward to serving your favourite classics with the same care and heart.

ON THIS WEEKEND! 🏮 A stunning huge lantern and six baby lanterns will be on display at Victory Square from 6-10pm on Saturday and Sunday!

Created with a recycled timber structure and rotating on a metal stand, the huge lantern is decorated with hand carved paper and illuminated with special colourful lighting.

Head along and grab a free cup of Ceylon tea and a Koko, a Sri Lankan traditional snack! 😋 There will also be gazebos to watch under incase it rains!
