Spring hit today! 2 sets of twins, alot of confusion with 9 calves and 7 mums, walk about babies and another herd draft up.
I have over half my keepers already and not even a quarter calved. And best of all my big girl Diva who is 12 years old, despite having used sexed seman on her in the past, who has never produced a girl, FINALLY gave me one. And she's a ripper! Can't wait to see what she can do in a few years time.

Had to go back to buying persil, despite its huge price, tag over calving. The washing just about stands up!

How everyone else fairing?

Calving has started on farm. While we have had an incredibly wet autumn and start of winter nothing can stop the joy of seeing those little babies being born. Today my bestie Lucy had her baby!

Unfortunately we had a slip yesterday. Mum was due 24th July and was looking like she was gonna come into milk. Luckily for us the neighbour's bull had been sneaky and produced this lovely little lady to fulfill our needs. Isn't she cute.
Mothered her onto mum in the yards today at lunch and snuck out tonight to check and babies on! Mums talking to her n content. Fingers crossed she really comes into her milk now. Or I'll be hand feeding the baby!

What a cracker day after all the miserable weather we have had! So I took the opportunity to dry the girls off. Done and dusted for the season! Yipeee
