It was so cool to see how a church, staff, and community rallied to support this school and its families. Such a pleasure to be able to help!

The fruit donation that grew! 🥝🍎 Earlier in the term, we were going to give some fruit to cover a gap in Insoll Ave Primary School's fruit programme. Our Discovery whānau gave koha, and Newstead Orchard gave us a deal on apples, then we also got kiwifruit to give away as well! Thanks to all those who donated, and to Olive, Insoll's school chaplain, for organising this!😃

These bird feeders are a great way to use old apples.

There's not a lot of food around for birds at this time of year so let's give them a helping hand.

We'll be making these at the Hamilton Farmers' Market this Sunday. Come down, bring the kids and give it a go.

Don't miss our last couple of days at the orchard shop. It will be open this Friday & Saturday with end of season specials on Granny Smith & Braeburn.

Your support now helps us through the winter months as we care for the fruit trees and set them up for a healthy crop next season.

Last chance for apples from our orchard shop and Waikato farmers markets!

We are almost at the end of the season but we still have plenty of beautiful, tree-ripened Granny Smith and Braeburn apples available.

The orchard shop will be open this Friday/Saturday, and next Friday/Saturday.

We will be at the Waikato Farmers Markets for the next two weekends too. There'll be special end of season offers available - not to be missed.

Now's the time to support your local fruit grower - grab some extra bags of this season's apples which will store well in the fridge and bake, preserve, roast and freeze.

Your support now helps set us up for the winter months.

Check our website - www.newsteadorchard.co.nz - and Google for updated shop hours.

Our retail sales will wrap up at the end of July to crack on with our winter work while still supplying business customers into August, as long as fruit is available.

If you need fruit and nut trees for your garden then this is the place to be today. Be the early bird. Tree Crops Waikato annual sale is today 😊

It is NOT at the gardens where it used to be held. It is at Innovation Waikato car park off Ruakura Road.

This volunteer organisation does so much to support people to grow tree crops in home gardens, running great events throughout the year. It is really worth joining, which you can do while you are there.

Newstead Orchard does not have a stall there but our shop is open today. We close the shop for the season next weekend but you will see us at the farmers markets a bit longer. Stock up on Granny Smith and Braeburn apples before we close for the season.

We'll be at Cambridge Farmers Market on Saturday and Hamilton Farmers Market on Sunday with fresh Braeburn and Grany Smith - gate fresh, no wax, no stickers, straight off the orchard.
