Ella Pirie Photography has been given a massive boost - helped by the wonderful Di Dianna Malcolm who has helped Ella make connections with some industry leading photographers and media people. She's not able to take photos from inside the ring, but is capturing some fabulous ones by finding other spots. There she is at the end of the purple line I've drawn. The class is the first class of 59 calves.

There is a large trade show associated with World Dairy Expo Big Tractors, mixer wagons, barns, mats for barns, robotic milkers. There are a few companies here selling NZ products. I found Brian from Milkbar as well.

We have arrived - Auckland - Sydney - Dallas - Madison. We had 2 hours between arrival and departure at each airport, which sounds a lot, but with a gate change at Dallas, our luggage ended up staying there. It's now at Madison airport, hopefully on it's way here soon.
The hotel is great, straight across from the World Expo Colosium, although we have been advised to take the crossings, and with being used to looking left, right then left again is advisable in left-hand drive country.
Missed the shavings drop, but they are green this year. Every year is a different colour. Ella reckons its a signal about grass - that the grass is always greener.
There are a few New Zealanders helping out exhibitors, no doubt we will get to catch up with them later.
Everyone here talks funny, I'm surprised how hard it is to understand a different accent.
There are not many photos yet, Ella has got a few more. Dallas was really dry looking.
Just need to get rid of the head cold and cough we've both ended up with.
