We are a husband and wife run farm at Arapohue. Our focus is on easy calving, good growth rate and docile temperament is a must.

We are testing the bull calves for Homozygous Polled and usually have a limited number available.

The herd is doing is us proud, they always do.. ❤️ Calves are superb and dams holding condition nicely as our weaning date looms. Spring was poor to say the least so the calves have had catching up to do.. and catch up they have! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️ Well done team! 😎

Woke up to find out the Redshine Red Devon’s team from Taranaki were showing their cattle at the Warkworth A&P show today! What an opportunity to finally go and meet our youngest breeders in NZ - Harrison and Asha Collins. Breeders flying the Red Devon flag as high as they can and nailing it! Such a pleasure and so proud to see the Devons out in the showring again. Countless hours of prep work and we won't mention dad's fuel bill to make this happen!! All credit to the extended team of keen youngsters and adults doing these hard yards.. day finished with the last showing and pack down and load up... homeward bound tonight! Well done, travel safely! 😎 ❤️

A week of trucks rolling in and out.. 🏃‍♀️ and the empty nest feeling begins today with the last of the girls leaving.. 🙈 We really pride ourselves on presenting these heifers top notch, well grown and with some life experiences - it sets them up for the buyers to be nice, confident young ladies with their whole life ahead of them. 😎👍
We even mated the two crossbred heifers we mothered on, they were too good not to!! All gone to terrific homes which is a must! 💯
It is always a proud moment loading them out, our job is done! Go well girls! ❤️❤️😎

Marathon week.. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️ thankyou to everyone who called in at Northland Field Days, was great to see you all!
Straight back into work with preg testing the x20 heifers this morning. Delighted with 💯% in calf and since x12 have buyers waiting patiently for them, it is always good news. 👍 A real pleasure to produce these quality breeding heifers ready to go for our buyers. All the work has been done and Ross and I love doing this work! ❤️😎👌

What a summer! Rain just keeps on pouring down so the grass is pumping!! 🌨 Even if it is low quality kikuyu, the Devons still do well on it. Calves really growing on nicely now after the slack spring growth. 👍😊
Really lucky to get a window in the weather to get the hay in! 🌞🌞🌞 Grateful for the hay seller doing it over two days for us - managed to get it home and stacked with a little help. 💪💪
A lot of hay got wet this summer, we are expecting a shortage of good hay available. We got our full count and all superb quality - cows will be very happy! ❤️

Welcome home Floyd, welcome home! 😍
We sold this young bull as a weaner to a good friend in 2020... and sold with one condition. The opportunity to purchase him back! 😊 Well that day has arrived and we welcome him as a very mature bull - rising 7 and as fit as can be. ❤️
Floyd has left some impressive progeny over the years and we have followed his progress.
Out of one our Glen Kowhai foundation cows bred by my late mum, Lee Fulton and is an AB calf by Alison Heap's Gowan Ross Gentleman (AUS) who needs no introduction.
Watch this space is all I need to say.... good things take time! ❤️😉

We hope everyone has come thru the night ok, what a night! 😬
Rockview has been unaffected and everyone is happy and content - very grateful! The rain radar in the early hours of this morning was unreal to watch - huge rainfall 'stalled' on the east coastline of Northland and the same for other areas no doubt. The devastation this morning is real for alot of people - flooding and slips, roads and houses are a mess.
We hope everyone is ok, their farms and cattle safe! Our thoughts are with you all. 🙏🙏

Our lovely 16 month old heifers finished running with the bull, all 20 of them... will be vetted in calf in early March and ready for the buyers then. This line is presold and again, they are a damn nice line up.. even if I do say so myself. 🤣 Well grown, quiet heifers and very easy on the eye - easy to sell these girls and terrific buying! ❤️
