Blueberry Planting Season is Here!
Now is the perfect time to plant your blueberry bushes and get them established. Planting during these cooler months allows the roots to establish and settle in before the heat of summer and active growth begins..
Plants are available for pickup from our Ohaupō orchard at any time.
We can also arrange pickups from our Ngātea and Waipū orchards, however please contact us in advance as plants need to be transported to these locations.
Available Varieties:
🫐 O'NEAL
One of the earliest varieties to ripen, O'Neal is renowned for its exceptional flavour, firm berries, and low chilling requirement.
• Fruit Size: Large (18–22mm)
• Harvest: Late November – December
🫐 MISTY
A vigorous early-season variety producing attractive light-blue berries with a delicious sweet flavour.
• Fruit Size: Medium-Large (16–20mm)
• Harvest: Late November – Early December
🫐 REKA
A New Zealand-bred favourite known for its adaptability, productivity, and consistent crops of quality berries.
• Fruit Size: Medium-Large (16–20mm)
• Harvest: December – January
Plant Pricing
• 3-year-old plants: $30 each
• 2-year-old plants: $25 each
Most of our available plants are 3 years old and well-established, giving you a head start towards harvesting your own delicious blueberries.
