I don't normally look at listings on Trademe or other breeders pages etc but this quick look I did on Trademe was shocking! The lack of any testing and comments guaranteeing you won't have any issues is absolutely not at all possible for any breeder to guarantee!

Especially ones with no testing! This gives people false hope and is πŸ’―% misleading!

Please use some common sense when buying a puppy and don't EVER hand over your money to anyone for a dog without testing! And promising you will have no issues because the dogs back is flat is completely unethical!!

Ensure you get a pup from fully tested parents and don't believe promises that are impossible and too good to be real!

This is the morning routine for Sabella baby Hazy!

This gorgeous family has 2 Sabella babies (the other one is one of our King Shepherds) and Hazy even with those big Teeffs is so gentle with mummies hand πŸ₯°

Some of you may remember the controversy that happened when I posted this photo last year πŸ˜‚

People were saying the eyes on these pups could not be real and someone even tried to report me to Trademe (which was interesting in itself as I never usually have pups I can list to the public at 8 weeks of age and ready to go) saying I was misleading people because of their eyes..πŸ™„

This image is a result of perfect lighting and the fact these puppies were just absolutely stunning so its an interesting daily photo for today πŸ˜‚ These puppies were so gorgeous and their pictures turned out so well πŸ₯°

Some people need to get a life πŸ˜‚

We had to rush one of our dogs to the vets today!

River cut her eye quite badly while playing with the other dogs! It was a significant injury as you can see.

Due to the nature of the wound if it had been left untreated she would have gone blind as her eye was not able to open and shut properly.

We were very lucky that she didnt injur he actual eye ball! The dogs play so rough with each other and it was just one of those things!

We never have any sort of injuries here with our lot so I consider ourselves lucky but today was the day where an accident happened!

River is home and resting and should make a full recovery! The dogs do like to keep me on my toes πŸ™„πŸ˜‚πŸ˜

Our daily photo today is of me taken with one of our pups. I absolutely adore the babies we produce and they make me so happy. And getting to see them go into amazing homes where they are a valued family member means so much to me. In a world filled with so many awful things, to be able to bring love and joy to people is such a special gift to be able to do.

This really means the world to me and what we do here is so important. Between the testing and the importance of looking closely at nature allows people the opportunity to have a very special baby.

So watching my babies grow is such a gift for me and I think this picture captured that here.

I'm honestly so shocked 🫠...I have a waiting list of around 40 people long that stretches well into year 2027 for one of our beautiful babies and someone happened to mentioned something to me randomly about some dogs on tradme so I had a look as I usually never bother with it.

I NEVER look at what is going on on there as if I do it just ends up making me so angry! Not only because pretty much every single German Shepherds advertised on there hasn't been tested for ANYTHING and some of the sweeping statements some of the posters make are just mind blowing!

The most common ones you find are:

1) The classic "They had pups before and they were fine" ....really?...were they really fine?πŸ™„

2) Yeah the vet had a look at the parents and said they were ok?.... Really? Was any sort of technology was used or was this just a quick glance while on the way out the door?

3) This is the one that caused me to once again talk about this because this is so misleading!!!!!!!! Tradme should be pulling this listing! They said: the parents have a flat back so their pups are at "no risk of hip and joint issues"

I'M SORRY I BEG YOUR FINEST PARDON??????? I do comprehensive Hip and Elbow scoring and even I can't guarantee a client that as its a living breathing growing animal!!!

You can not tell someone their dog has no risk of hip and elbow issues because the parents simply have a flat back! πŸ˜‘πŸ‘€πŸ˜³

A HUGE amount of testing and cost goes into hip and elbowing scoring an adult dog to ensure that your doing all you can genetically for any puppies they may produce to be at a lower risk of any issues! There is so much fraud and lack of any sort of accountability for these people posting this stuff on Trademe its mind blowing!

These people have just 2 dogs thrown together for money and then there are the sweeping statements that "our dogs are fine because the parents have flat backs πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Please for the love of all that is holy in this world do NOT buy a puppy from anyone unless they have the following documents FOR BOTH PARENTS:

🐾A Vet certification that shows EACH PARENT has been fully tested and certified to be used for breeding by having these testings below:

🐾A pass on the Hip and Elbow Scoing

🐾A CLEAR test on a FULL panel DNA test

🐾 Vet Certification that shows the vet approval for them to be bred. So 3 documents all up!

🐾And you need to see this for BOTH PARENTS!

As people who want a healthy dog you all deserve better and the shear volume of German Shepherds on Trademe right now with NO TESTING or made up s**t like the guy claiming his flat back pups will never have any issues based simply off the fact their back is flat πŸ‘€ is WRONG!

YOU DONT NEED TO BUY ANY OF OUR DOGS BUT PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T SPEND MONEY ON A DOG WITH NO TESTING! Please please please don't do it!

If both parents to any puppy you like does not have this actual testing done please don't hand over your hard earned money.

I normally stay well away from all this but a quick look on Trademe the other day it just blew my mind. It's so wrong that so many German Shepherds are listed on there with almost none of them having any sort of testing 😭 and we need more people out there educated about all this and people need to start demading all the testing be done before buying these dogs!

Just because someone wrote it in a listing doesn't mean its true because this particular statement is seriously so far from reality!
