All welcome to attend!
Reminder whānau -
The monthly Otara community safety hui's have moved to a new evening time and community space to make it easier for our locals to join.
Ōtara Music Arts Centre (OMAC)
Wednesday 24th June
5:30pm – 7:30pm
Come along, connect, share your voice and be part of creating a safer Ōtara together.
For Ōtara, By Ōtara!
🖤 OUR ŌTARA. OUR PEOPLE. OUR FUTURE. 🖤
Keen to be part of creating a safer, stronger and more thriving Ōtara?
For the last couple of years our Monthly Ōtara Community Safety Hui have mostly been held during daytime hours. While these kōrero have been valuable, we know many of our whānau, workers, parents, rangatahi and locals simply can’t make it during the day.
So we’re looking at changing things up a bit 👀
Our goal is simple:
👉 More hearts around the table
👉 More voices being heard
👉 More community-led solutions for our hood
This may look like:
✨ Different days and times each month
✨ Evening hui
✨ Community venues in the town centre
✨ Livestream options for those unable to attend in person
Our next hui is currently planned for:
📍 Ōtara Music and Arts Centre
(Ōtara Town Centre)
📅 Wednesday 24 June
🕠 5.30pm – 7.30pm
This kaupapa is for everyone! Whānau, rangatahi, elders, local groups, schools, churches, businesses, service providers and everyday locals who care about our community.
Come wānanga. Come talanoa. Come connect.
Because the best solutions for Ōtara come from the people of Ōtara ❤️
We would genuinely love your feedback on the new direction and whether these changes would help you attend.
