The season has moved from all the Firsts of the year to the Lasts.
Last Twin Cow calved today. 2 whopping 40kg Herefords, 1st one coming tail first.
Its been a season of ups and downs on the Twin front. We had 41 live calves born from 21 completed pregnancies, which is awesome.
We had 2 cows slip pregnancies late in the winter, which was disappointing.
We also lost 2 cows during delivery, which was absolutely gutting (managed to save all 4 calves).
We currently have 13 cows rearing both of their calves, with the rest having one fostered off or hand reared for a variety of reasons.
Time to celebrate with the 12 year old from this little gift pack of single malts 🥃
