Lets get behind this and make it easier for family's to fill the freezer.

Food costs are out the gate, and more families are looking closer to home for their meat.

But before a homekill provider can process an animal, you have to show you have actively cared for it for 28 days.

Nobody has looked at that rule in 20 years.
We want to know whether it is still doing a job, or whether it is just standing between people and a feed of local meat.

Same goes for hunted meat. The rules are vague, and hunters tell us they are not sure they are even allowed to drop a bit off at their local foodbank.

Meat is the number one thing foodbanks get asked for and the dearest thing for them to put on the shelf. Unclear rules should not be getting in the way of that.
