We have FIVE produce bags to give away TODAY Wednesday 10 July. Bags can not be split. One bag per family. Must pick up between 3.30pm and 3.45pm because we don’t want the frozen food to spoil. First 5 comments saying yes please will receive one. Failure to turn up means the bag will be given to someone else.
Each one contains 3kg potatoes, 3kg onions, 1kg pumpkin skinned and chopped, 2 sticks of celery & a small bag of Brussel sprouts from Pahiatua Community Garden, and 1 bag of frozen edamame beans & 1 bag of frozen Punjabi Tinda (baby pumpkin).

☀️Helpful tip for staying hydrated in this heat. ☀️

** TIP OF THE WEEK **

Many people don’t drink enough water simply because they don’t like the flavour, or because it lacks flavour. Luckily, you can make water tastier by using items you already have in your fridge or fruit bowl.

One of the easiest ways to increase your water intake is to make it taste good. Use peels from citrus fruits, apples and cucumbers, or even pieces of summer fruit that may be starting to wilt, to add a kick to your glass of water.

And to top it off, when you are finished flavouring your water, add the fruit and peels to a smoothie rather than throw it out.

It’s working bee time! This Saturday 20th January. Starts 9.30am. We always have a cuppa after and share what we harvest.
