* OMG, naughty social media girl. Its Tuesday! You are a day late posting this! Public holiday messed with my brain. ๐คฏ๐ค
โค๏ธ๐ฆ MEET THE BOSS โ HELEN! ๐ฆโค๏ธ
Next up in our staff profiles is the other half of our boss couple, the Amazing Helen! โค๏ธ and what a journey sheโs had!
Helen started her working life as a nurse, working in the profession right from her training days until around 25 years ago, when she decided to swap nursing for the world of hospitality! ๐ฉโโ๏ธโก๏ธ๐ฆ
She then owned and ran the Bunnythorpe Food on the Run shop, but life had a few unexpected twists and turns along the way. After being diagnosed with breast cancer and going through surgery; chemo and radiation, Helen made the decision to give up the shop and spend more time doing what she does bestโฆ serving up those delicious ice creams! ๐ฆ๐ and we reckon that was a pretty sweet decision!
๐ FAVOURITE ICE CREAM?
Well, when those sugar levels start getting a bit low, a milkshake is the answer! ๐ฅค And if Helen gets to pick the flavour? STRAWBERRY, of course! ๐โค๏ธ
๐ FAVOURITE RUN?
The Feilding run, which Helen has been doing for an incredible 17 YEARS! ๐ฒ
That's 17 years of familiar faces, friendly chats and watching the local kids grow up, become adults, and even have kids of their own! โค๏ธ How special is that? Helen has been part of so many people's lives over the years, and those connections are what make the job so rewarding.
๐ป WHAT DOES HELEN DO WHEN SHE'S NOT WORKING?
You'll probably find her out in the garden getting her hands dirty ๐ท๐ฑ or spending precious time with her grandkids. โค๏ธ
Helen has been recognized by her bright red hair, but recently she has changed her look, not by choice but by necessity. Unfortunately she has been fighting her second round of breast cancer, and the hair couldn't stick around.
While we love sharing the fun and cheeky side of our team, we also want to acknowledge the strength it takes to face life's tougher moments. We're sending Helen all our love and support as she navigates this next chapter. โค๏ธ
Show Helen some love in the comments! โค๏ธ๐
