Not long to go now! A very pregnant Hanna Eleadora (chestnut with blaze) and Jojoba de Gerval (bay) came in for some pampering before being moved near to the house for closer monitoring before they head off on Monday to foal with Equus Veterinary Reproduction and Consultancy...so excited to see their babies😃😃.

These beauties are off to Helensville this morning. Pure red velvet hinds from Five Hawks Stud by Rock (3yo North Is. Velvet Champion and Champion of Champions) out of Lazarus (4yo North Is. Velvet Champion and Champion of Champions) daughters, making them 75% the same bloodlines as our 2yo 2025 runner up Rising Stars National Velvet Competition. They are in fawn to the mighty Omar from Forest Road Farm.

Let's not forget the origins of the PRE and PSL horses - they were bred to work cattle.
That's where their agility, power, intelligence and deep connection with their rider comes from.
Not everyone may like the sport of bull fighting in modern times but it has a very long history embedded in the rural culture of Spain and Portugal and their horses.
