Pearls of Australia x Arapawa Blue Pearls
Two families, two oceans, two very different pearls, each shaped by the waters they come from.
From Australia’s pristine coastal waters to the wild Marlborough Sounds of New Zealand, this collaboration brings together two family pearl farms deeply connected to the ocean, provenance, and the art of cultivating rare pearls.
At Australian Grown Pearl Jewellery, the Brown family have spent generations cultivating Australian South Sea and Akoya pearls within some of Australia’s most pristine waterways,continuing an 80-year pearling legacy that began at Australia's Pearling Pioneers in 1946.
Here on Arapaoa Island, our family at Antonia | Pure New Zealand Grown Blue Pearls has spent more than 30 years culturing pāua pearls, vibrant pearls grown inside the New Zealand abalone, carrying natural hues of blue, green, purple and gold that cannot be replicated anywhere else.
Though born from different shells, different oceans, and different histories, both farms share the same belief: that pearls are more than jewellery, they are a reflection of place, patience, family, and the ocean itself 🌊
