We arrived back from Christchurch last night after a challenging four days during Floyd's cataract surgery. Sadly, Floyd lost an eye when, during the procedure on his left eye, the lens fell back inside and couldn't be retrieved. The vet was understandably upset, and we were momentarily crushed, but we're grateful that his other eye went smoothly, giving him around 85% vision if all continues to go well and the inflammation subsides. We're now home, resting peacefully alongside the dogs, all of us on the path to recovery. Thank you so much for your kind thoughts and prayers for Floyd's surgery — one eye lost, but still a good outcome.
Looking forward to a cozy week of making soup, crocheting, reading, and settling my new book, ready for publishing. Ⓜ️💕💃🌺

The final leg. I'm ready to go home and settle in one place, saying that, Nelson on Wednesday. Christchurch on the 7th for Floyd's eye operation – bless him. Then it's home for ages. Ⓜ️🌺💃

The open decks on 15 today were remarkably quiet—only a few burnt, wrinkly remnants remained, unable to enjoy the gentle breeze. A live band frequently performs here, adding vibrant energy to the atmosphere. The location features an ice cream parlour, a sliced pizza shop, and a Salty Dog joint serving burgers, fries, and more. There are excellent iced coffees and full bar facilities available. Typically, the area is lively with numerous activities and a bustling crowd.

The farewell dinner parties have now entered their third day, with only one more remaining—what an incredible journey! I boarded the Crown Princess with 380 New Zealanders eager for adventure.
Over 1,800 Australians joined in Sydney, officially launching the world cruise—an impressive start. I arrived with just a few acquaintances but leave having formed hundreds of new friendships. It has been a privilege to be part of this meticulously organized four-month voyage.

The entertainment has been nonstop, with a continuous flow of activities and socialising.
I am blessed and grateful for this experience. Thank you, Bill, for your understanding and support.
