The competition is officially ON in Pirinoa! Tags 252 and 266 are putting in the hard yards today, digging into some fresh greens. These two young bull calves are our proud entries for the local community fundraiser scheme.
Now, we know that the farmers that are involved around the Pirinoa region will be on a mission to produce the biggest, healthiest, and strongest calves for the cause... and we think these boys are looking like a serious challenge to beat!
Don't let their competitive drive fool you, though—turns out they are absolute softies who love nothing more than a good scratch while they eat. 😉
Nothing like a bit of friendly local rivalry to support a great community cause. Healthy pastures and plenty of chin scratches make for heavy calves—watch out, neighbors

On the way to the hub of the farm 🪵🐑

There is so much history packed into the Palliser Ridge woolshed! Built over a century ago during the 1918 flu pandemic, this concrete and timber shed has seen generations of farming history roll through its gates.

Step inside today, and you’ll see the walls spray-painted and stencilled with the names of the shearing gangs and teams who have worked here over the decades. Every clip, every season, and every person is etched right into the fabric of the building.

The lambs are heading down to a true South Wairarapa icon! ✨

Nature is moving back in.

We spotted this beautiful Kererū (NZ Wood Pigeon) right here on the farm at Palliser Ridge. Seeing native birds return is the ultimate reward for our team. It is proof that retiring our gullies into wetlands and running our predator-free program is working.
