That time of year again already! We had a morning of doing AI using more UK imported genetics and also some Wiltshire straws from the north island. A bonus being school holidays so the whole family got to play a part in helping out. Thanks to everyone else that helped out with making the morning go smoothly.

3 weeks since the last draft and another 476 off to the works, with a weight gain of over 430grams/day these boys have done well killing out at 20.3 kg! We are now starting to see our work in the studs genetics paying off by lifting our average kill weight and sending more early. To top it off still only one drench almost 7 weeks ago and the rest not needing one yet.

With rain finally arriving I thought I would get one last video before the truck arrives. Our rams that will be at the sale on Tuesday are on their way to Gore today. A big thank you to the local farmer that offered to look after the rams until sale.

Looking for a pure exlana?

Lot 6. 99/24 will be available at our up and coming auction, and as far as we know is the only pure up for auction in NZ this season.
This ram has come from our AI programme using semen we imported from the UK and is out of a ewe that was born from our Embryo transfer programme in 2022.

With 1000 lambs now gone. We were very happy with this last lot that hung up at 21 kg at an average of 103 days. And a bonus of only 2 out of the mob needed a dag.
