You might’ve heard that GrabOne has just gone into liquidation. That’s tough news for heaps of small businesses, and one of our favourites - the legends at Halswell Butchery & Delicatessen - could use a bit of love right now.

They’ve always had our backs locally here in Halswell with top-notch cuts and friendly service, and now it’s our turn to return the favour. Even if it’s a little out of the way, swing by and grab something tasty. Their beef mince is going for just $12.95/kg - and don't get us started on their awesome hand made sausages!

Let’s show some support, keep the good meat flowing, and help a local gem stay strong 💪

Good morning to our customers. We are very sorry to say that grabone has gone into liquidation, anyone that has bought a voucher from them to redeem at the halswell butchery will just have to await further information from grabone as we have heard nothing from them so far. We will keep you updated as we learn any new information. Grabone has sold 1000 vouchers on behalf of us and we have not seen a cent from grabone yet so at this stage we are in no position to honor anything unfortunately.

A massive day, with heaps of banter with our wonderful patrons who came down to BBQs Direct for one hell of a lunch! Smashies, and Ribs with VoodooQ rubs were an absolute hit!

Thanks so much for everyone who pre-ordered! And everyone who came along to check out what we had on offer!

This weekend we competed at the inaugural Smoke in the Park bbq competition. Saturday was NZBA and was a rough day on the tools, but still a great time to be had amongst awesome people. Massive congratulations to our neighbors Rum and Que for Gc, and all your advice and tips they really helped. And Big Bark for RGC. Sunday was SCA and New Zealands inaugural RCOA and Rangi and Darren competed in the ribs section of the RCOA, against some of the best cooks in NZ, Aus and USA. 53 competitors all up with Darren placing 16th and Rangi managing to take out 1st.
