We're excited to release our 2023 vintage into the UK and have received some wonderful reviews from wine author Tom Cannavan. Several wines received their highest ever scores from Tom, who has been rating our wines for over 10 years, highlighting the quality of the vintage. First off is our Sav with 92/100.

"From an excellent vintage, this immediately impresses with its intensity: the nose is a pungent explosion of guava and mango, with elderflower streaking through the aromatic exoticism. In the mouth that tropical fruit juiciness opens the show, but almost instantly a phalanx of lime acidity drives a wedge through the centre, propelling the wine to a lip-smacking, dry finish. There's more than enough fruity extract to coat the palate and withstand the onslaught of the wine's freshness so there is no fruit/acid imbalance. A concentrated, decisive example of Marlborough Sauvignon at its best."

We are thrilled to announce our Riverby Estate Rose 2021 has won the Scenic Hotel Marlborough Champion Rose Trophy at the 2021 Marlborough Wine Show.

This is the first Rose we have made for six years, so it is good to see we haven’t lost the recipe!

A lovely review for our Syrah today from Mark Henderson in our favourite NZ newspaper, the OTD.

''Fascinating nose with smoke, savoury nuances, minerality, a little herb, dark berries and rhubarb later. The savoury notes are apparent on the palate with spices, blood & iron, blackberry fresh off the bush, a touch of green olive later. A grainy feel to the tannins and a lip-smacking salivatory aspect to the close. A rare Marlborough Syrah and worth looking out for.''
